“Palestine 36” is Shortlisted for the Oscars, But Replaces History with Fiction
Like the rest of the world, we at Creative Community for Peace are watching the brave Iranians who have taken to the streets to fight for their freedom.
We stand in full solidarity with all those resisting the regime. For years, Persian artists and entertainers have been targeted, imprisoned, and killed simply for telling the story of their people and demanding basic human rights.
This performance by Israeli singer @itaybenda was an expression of solidarity with Iranians during the Women, Life, Freedom protests. Today, as then, it is essential that Iranians know they are not alone.

Authoritarian regimes fear art because art tells the truth. From Nazi Germany to Tehran and Caracas, singers, writers, and creators are targeted for challenging power. In Iran artists like Toomaj Salehi and Mehdi Yarrahi have been jailed, beaten, and silenced for speaking out. In Venezuela after the contested 2024 election musicians including Carlos Baute, Chyno Miranda, and Ricardo Montaner have been banned from performing as repression rises. When regimes try to control culture, they reveal their weakness. Now is the time to stand with artists and amplify the voices they want to crush.

An honor well deserved. At the Sydney Cricket Ground, Australia took a moment to honor these people.
First responders and Ahmed Al-Ahmed, who risked his life to stop the terrorist, were recognized for their bravery and selflessness.
Humanity will always win over terror.

“Palestine 36” is an Oscar-shortlisted film about the 1936 Arab Revolt, but despite presenting itself as history, it is anything but.
The film erases the Jewish narrative, distorts land ownership, omits Arab violence, and invents British atrocities. Key figures like the Grand Mufti, who incited violence against Jews and later collaborated with the Nazis, are erased entirely.
This isn’t historical drama but part of an ongoing attempt to re-write Jewish history. It’s historical falsification and should not be taken seriously. Art can educate, but misrepresenting history to serve a one-sided political narrative is propaganda, not storytelling.

🇬🇷 Shout-out to Greece’s Eurovision 2025 singer Klavdia, who had the courage to speak out about the pressure she faced to take a hostile stance toward the Israeli delegation.
On Tet-A-Tet with @tasostrifonos, Klavdia revealed that journalists repeatedly pushed her on “the issue of Israel,” dragging her into politically charged controversies she was never there to answer for.
Despite the pressure, Klavdia showed grace, professionalism, and real strength. No young artist should be bullied, cornered, or turned into a political pawn simply for representing their country through music.
🎤 Artists are not diplomats.
🎶 Music is not a weapon.
👉 Thank you, Klavdia, for your moral clarity and integrity.

Shenkar graduate Ariel Barka went from thinking an email was a joke to designing a custom look for Christina Aguilera in less than 24 hours. After being contacted by Aguilera’s stylist, she began sketching immediately for a project marking 25 years of the singer’s career, filmed in Paris on the Eiffel Tower.
This is what breaking barriers looks like. An Israeli designer trusted with a global icon, stepping onto the world stage through talent and hard work. When Israeli creativity gets the space it deserves, it doesn’t whisper, it shines.
